Sweet Pea

Week 6 - Sweet Pea

I woke around 3am this morning to pee and had 1 last test just to make sure.  I went back to sleep and when I woke up, two lines.  Again.

I went to my OBGYN doctor today.  He did an ultrasound. It's really official.  Like on my medical record official.

He said I'm 6weeks and 6days as of today.  Holy Moly.  I usually get some type of sign if it were someone else but it just didn't hit me. At. All!

I seen the sac, and a little (it looked like a clam shaped thingy from super mario 3 type) bump and what I read online it's the size of a Sweet Pea!

That little clam shaped thingy is my baby!
We didn't hear a heartbeat but it maybe too early for that as far as my doctor was concerned so next week, we will check to see what's going on.  He also had me do some labwork for a 'quantitive' whatever....to make sure my hcg levels keep rising.  SO SAY some prayers because well...just say them. =)

Week 6 Development

My Baby's Development:
My baby's jaw, cheeks, chin, eyes, ears, and nose are beginning to form.  The kidneys, liver, and lungs are developing, and heart is now beating 80 times a minute (and getting faster every day).

Moi:
Frequent urination: mmmm...maybe i've been in the bathroom more often.  Not too sure, haven't kept track.
Fatigue: I thought it was my thyroid.  I guess it's a combination.

Breast tenderness and changes: OHMG yes they are.  I didn't realize until I read this and yes they are sensitive!
Nausea and vomiting: My doctor prescribed me some pills for this. Yay!
Heartburn and indigestion: ugh, I keep burping my lunch.  No bueno!
Bloating:
Increased sense of smell: Ugh, yes, I can smell Cilantro from 2 units away.

Love meets, smaller than . poppy and orange seeds!

These are the weeks that I have missed:

Weeks 1 & 2: Consider this when these 2 paths are going to cross and when our love meets =)

Week 3: Smaller than the period at the end of this sentence.

Week 4: No bigger than a poppy Seed

Week 5: Looks like a teeny tadpole (with tiny tail) and the size of an orange seed. The circulatory (or blood) system, along with the heart, is the first part of that tiny body to be functional; and as baby's heart starts to form along with the neural tube, which will eventually become baby's brain and spinal cord.

3 bows to the porcelin god and two lines later....

Monday, October 4th will be the date that I remember forever, for more than just a loved one's birthday.

I had been feeling sick and quesy for the past few weeks.  I thought I was maybe coming down with something. Was it my thyroid? Geez it could be a number of things.  But all the things I thought of, I didn't think of one.

I had bloodwork done the week before and my thyroid was out of range and my glucose was 10points over the normal range.  So I have to watch that.

I had a feeling I should've asked to be tested for something else, but nah, it couldn't be that.

The past Saturday, I threw up after I blew my nose.  That happens once in a while. Well, not throwing up but I get the quesyness from just thinking of boogers. eww. Then Sunday, I was sick, I thought it was the grease from the Tacos I had for dinner.  I did a home herbal tea remedy to stop the feeling sickness, but I threw up anyways.

Cut to Monday October 4th.  I was fine but at work I started to feel sick again during my AM meeting.  I had 1/2 of a bollio and some tea during my meeting.  I kept looking at the piece of bread like I was going to fight it because just looking at it made me feel sick.  For lunch I was on my way out the door to get some yogurt at Target, something made me stop in my tracks (like when you get hit in the stomach right after you drink the water in mexico), I walked back in and went to the bathroom.  You guessed it.  I threw up.  When I came out, my mom was in the front and asked if I was ok.  I said yes, but I wasn't feeling good. I told her it was my thyroid.  She said I didn't look good and like I had dark circles under my eyes.  It was my eyeliner that got smeared.

I never once thought I was pregnant, but when I tossed up again and it was just bread (which I never tosss up a carb) I went and bought a 3pack Pregnancy test.  I did it at the store (after I purchased it of course) and it came out positive.  I seen 2 lines...instantly I threw it in the trash, put my hands up to my face.  Stunned and then dug it out (gross I know but I wasn't thinking much) with a paper towel of course.  I looked and sure enough. TWO lines.  Positive.

I called Kaiser right away because of my thyroid, it says as soon as you find out you are pregnant, you have to call so they can adjust the levels.  Risks are miscarriages and complications.

I was back at work and in the late afternoon, took another test.  Two lines. Again.

I went home, everything was fine but then I started bleeding a bit.  Bright red, and from what I read online, it's not such a great sign.  I didn't have cramping but I called and got an appointment the very next morning.

I figured I was either 4-8 weeks.  Since I had a normal period 8/12 but last month was the weird one.  I figured it was the hormones in my body changing from the contraceptives or due to my thyroid levels or my cycle was changing.

Now I know I'm definately going to be expecting to expect a lil' one.

I haven't told the father yet because, I want to make sure everything is okay and it's still such a shock to me.

This is crazy.
